Got To Get Out started as an idea when Robert Bruce was hiking high up in the Himalayas - about 5,000 meters above sea level actually. He had recently been made redundant from the marketing agency which he had founded (then sold to a global communications agency), and Robert decided he needed to get reconnected with nature and get back outdoors after years of working hard in an office. Initially he just wanted to share about his own adventures, but he quickly realised there was a real appetite for people to get outdoors with other likeminded adventurers, and so he set up Got To Get Out on Facebook as a place where people could get together for fun healthy adventures".
